On our 2 and 3 day courses you will learn about the equipment, how to pack your sea kayak, learn basic paddle strokes and cover rescue techniques. On the 5 Day Holidays you can simply be guided along whilst learning new paddling skills or we can incorporate other skills into the week such as route planning, tides, navigation and sea safety, if you wish.

Introduction To Sea Kayaking

This course is based around the Arbroath area, on the East Coast of Scotland. On the first day we will cover all the basic techniques in a sheltered position and later enjoy a short trip around the coast. On the second and third days we will make a coastal trip to view the stunning cliffs and wildlife whilst learning more new skills. We can advise on suitable B and B's, guesthouses or hotels if required.

This course will be run from a self catering hostel near Glencoe, on the West Coast of Scotland. The hostel is just 10 minutes away from the sea. We can take advantage of the many sheltered bays to cover the required skills before we make a short journey along the coast. On the second day you will acquire more new skills as we paddle along the coast or along a beautiful loch.
