Come and join us in
our local area of Angus on the East Coast of Scotland for an introduction to open canoeing. We
have various courses available throughout the year from 2 to 5
days. We mainly use Forfar Loch, Loch Faskally, Loch Tummel, the River
Isla, the River Esk or the River Tay. No prior experience is required.
We supply everything - boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, waterproofs - all
you need is a pair of sandals or trainers and a change of clothes -
just in case!

An ideal course for
those wishing to try canoeing for the first time, or just to brush
up on your canoe skills. The first day will be spent on a loch
perfecting all your strokes for forward paddling, backward paddling,
moving sideways and turning around. And, oh yes, the usual
capsize at the end of the day!
On the second day we
make a journey down one of the local rivers and gain moving water
experience.
This course is based in the County of Angus on the East Coast of Scotland.

The price includes the
hire of all equipment. Various accommodation options are
available, please phone to discuss your requirements; normally £25

Great Glen Canoe Trail |
From Fort William to Inverness. This is a new canoe trail, which will be officially opened in March 2012. This can be paddled in either a sea kayak or an open canoe. Sections of canal, river and lochs including Loch Ness, Loch Lochy and Loch Oich. Develop your paddling skills as we make this scenic journey across Scotland. You will be camping for 4 nights on this journey, sometimes we stop near to the excellent facilities of the Caledonian Canal (showers, hot water and toilets) and sometimes we wild camp on the shores of the lochs. |

All of the necessary equipment and food for the trip is supplied – boats, paddles, buoyancy aids, special waterproof jackets, barrels/dry bags, and all of the camping kit except for a sleeping bag. |

Intermediate Canoeing - 5 Days
This course aims to improve your solo and/or tandem techniques for open or moving water up to Grade 2 standard.
Techniques covered during this week will include – river reading, lining, tracking, poling, downwind sailing, rescues, equipment selection and a variety of strokes for moving water. |
